Welcome to the world of Morulins

Morulin’s world is a world filled with titans, phantasmagorical visuals and surreal animals. Where architecture is intertwined with cosmogonic plants.

A world that must be looked at long and carefully to catch the hidden details. Small cracks through which someone's silhouette appears, a paw of the unknown that stretches from the abyss or a microcosm living its own life.

Katerilian presents these characters in the form of illustrations, paintings, and sculptures.

I want to invite you to my exhibition in music venue Radio City (Valencia, Spain)

Radio City is my favourite place in Valencia and finally I have an exhibition here. I'm creating a fantasy world of Morulins, and this creatures can't wait to meet you. On this exhibition presented chosen artworks from collections "Whispered Presences", "The cartography of collapse" and "Ways of internal metamorphosis"

You can see paintings made with acrylic and oil from 18 of September to the end of October. Check schedule at radiocityvalencia.es to enjoy music by local musicians.

The Morulins are more than a fantasy world. They can represent a different way of understanding reality

Plants, animals and conscious creatures are not fundamentally divided.
Gender is not a defining structure.
Everything exists in relationship with it's environment.
Everything affects everything else.
Everything is alive, connected and capable of transformation.
Sometimes they appear in situations we're familiar with, to highlight how absurd that is

We are constantly changing the world around us, and the world is constantly changing us. We are therefore both moldable and transformative.

This is where the Morulins become emotionally and philosophically relevant.

About creator

Kateryna Halushka, working under the name Katerilian, is a Ukrainian fantasy artist based in Valencia, Spain.

Born in Odesa in 1997, she began her professional path as a children's book illustrator, developing a strong interest in visual storytelling and creating imaginary worlds. Over the years, her practice expanded beyond illustration into painting, drawing, animation and sculpture.

In 2021, she began developing her own long-term artistic project, which became the foundation of her current practice and continues to evolve through different mediums and forms.

Kateryna is interested in the relationship between imagination and reality, and in the ways personal experience, perception and emotions influence how we see the world. Her work often touches on themes of self-knowledge, anxiety, human psychology, nature and the parts of everyday life that are easy to overlook.
